Your cell phone could soon be delivering the traffic report. IntelliOne Technologies has developed a system that determines road speeds by the location of drivers’ cell phones. The technology has been tested and delivered accurate roadway speeds within three miles an hour.

You have a unique style of handwriting. Could you also have a pattern to your mobile phone text messaging? Researchers at the University of Leichester will analyze messages in hopes they can uncover an individual’s SMS style. Be careful how you text on your phone. They’re using the information to implicate individuals in criminal investigations.

BetOnSports, a publicly traded offshore casino indicted by prosecutors for taking bets in the U.S., has shut down its stateside operations where it collected more than 70% of all its bets. The shutdown, said one spokesman, was to signal to investors that they are a responsible organization. The company then announced that eight hundred employees will be losing their jobs in Costa Rica and Antigua, where the virtual company has its operations.
