Social networking isn’t just for horny teenagers. MySpace takes on spam king. Never pay for directory assistance again.

Social networking. It’s not just for horny teenagers anymore. IBM is getting into corporate social networking with the release of Lotus Connections. Now you and your coworkers can create a personal profile, and you can link to each other, thus wasting more productive hours in the day. Microsoft’s collaboration tool Sharepoint just added social networking features in its latest version.

Let’s hope MySpace is victorious in it’s lawsuit against the spam king, Scott Richter. Richter is one of ten spammers responsible for about 80% of the world’s spam traffic. And it appears he’s been dropping a heavy dose on MySpace users and even taken control of some of the accounts to do his duty through a process known as phishing. Richter has paid for damages in similar lawsuits, but it’s barely put a dent in his activities.

Never pay for directory assistance again. A brand new mobile application will look up 411 information for free. The application, called TellMe, allows you to simply hold the talk button, say the city and state you’re searching, and then the business name. Phone and address information comes up which then allows you to either call the business, see a map, or get driving directions.
