iTunes U – Better packaging of educational content

by David Spark on May 31, 2007

When it comes to marketing a concept that’s already been around for a while, Apple knows how to do it. They were the ones who catapulted the popularity of podcasting by incorporating the capability into iTunes, plus creating a front end directory. They’ve done it again with iTunes U, a section of the iTunes store of course lectures. This is not new as in the lectures have been there, but by placing this simple “iTunes U” moniker on it, it makes a lot more sense and doesn’t require any explaining. The title says it all. “Go here for higher education lectures.”

  2. Will you line up for Windows Vista? Beatles on iTunes or anywhere else. Google Switch

  4. Beatles music online? Intel does a teraflop. Barack Obama’s online dating site.
  5. Steve Jobs talks the talk, but Jeff Bezos walks the walk
