Conan O’Brien show put together a six minute reel of top clips from the original Tom Snyder Tomorrow show. Some great stuff here especially the quote from Alfred Hitchcock.

They didn’t though include my favorite which was when Tom Snyder interviewed John Waters and Divine. Being the cocky bastard that he was, yet completely clueless to pop culture at the time, Snyder asked what he thought was a revolutionary question to Divine. He said, “Is Divine gay?” To which Divine said, “No, I’ve got a wife and eight kids in Oklahoma.” To which Snyder responded, “Really?” And then Waters and Divine just laughed at him. Yes, Snyder’s show had some of the coolest interviews and guests of all time. But he was completely unaware of it because he was so out of touch.
