Anyone paying attention to your ideas?

by David Spark on May 8, 2007

Just because you’re a good presenter, does it mean people can remember your ideas? Charisma, poise, and projection alone doesn’t cut it. I just finished reading “Made to Stick” by the brothers Chip Heath and Dan Heath. It’s a book all about why certain ideas/marketing concepts stick in our mind and most others don’t. This is a great easy entertaining read with tons of great examples of good and bad communications pitches. I found myself constantly thinking about stuff that I’ve pitched and whether I’ve applied their principles. Read it and you’ll find yourself constructing your ideas more logically so people can understand, associate, and remember your ideas.

Thanks to my friend Phil Faulconer for loaning me the book. Phil, update your blog. :)
