Kids today can't stop sending nude pictures to each other

by David Spark on December 14, 2008

From Ars Technica:

A survey of 1,280 teenagers (users age 13-19) and young adults (age 20-26) conducted by the National Campaign to Prevent Teen and Unplanned Pregnancy and CosmoGirl.com has revealed that one out of five (20 percent) teens overall have posted nude photos or video of themselves on the Internet—that number goes up to a third when young adults are included.

And you would think teens and twentysomethings would think twice knowing that it’s really easy to forward an image. Up to 1/3rd of all nude images that were intended for just one recipient landed in other people’s inboxes as well.

This all makes me nostalgic. Back when I was a kid, if we wanted someone to see us nude, we’d just invite them over.

This tip is for the Spark Minute week of 12/15/08 which can be heard daily on Green 960 and 910 KNEW in San Francisco, CA.
