Firefox 2.0. Veeker. Google Custom Search.

October 25th, 2006

Mozilla launches Firefox 2.0. The update lets you customize your free browser with special add-ons. To thank Mozilla for all they’ve stolen, Microsoft’s Internet Explorer team sent Firefox a congratulatory cake.

For mobile videographers, sign up for Veeker. A mobile video sharing site that goes live today. Shoot a video with your phone. Upload it and then share it on Veeker or with all your friends on MySpace.

And lastly, Google launches Custom Search for your site. Create your own topic-specific search, customize it, put it on your Web site, and make money from it.

Question is will a Google Custom Search tool on Bob’s Bay Fishing find fishing information better than just using Google.

  1. Yahoo! buy AOL? MySpace fingerprints your tunes. Don’t make a deal with Google Video.
  2. Facebook, Google, and the future of real-time search
  3. Naming your child? Consult baby name books and Google
  4. Google Reader users should try Feedly
  5. Viacom changes its mind with YouTube. Google continues it’s attack on MS Office. Cingular’s music plan.
