Video response to “5 People Who Broke the Rules of Social Media and Succeeded”
March 11th, 2009
I’m very happy with all the positive response I got to my article on Mashable, “5 People Who Broke the Rules of Social Media and Succeeded.” There were a ton of kind comments and tweets. Thanks everyone. I just wanted to provide a video response as to why I wrote the article and respond to some of the comments that were made in the article. I look forward to your feedback.
For my two part negative PR story, read:
- Hey PR, bloggers are not tools to be used
- My appearance on John C. Dvorak’s Cranky Geeks. Right at the beginning, John and I go at it talking about this story.
- UPDATE: Bad PR experience story. PR firm’s client is obtuse.
And if you are a social media rule breaker or know someone who is, please email me your story to daspark AT gmail DOT com. Thanks.
- VIDEO: The need for PR firms to get personal
- Cranky on social media rule breakers and email
- Breaking the rules of social media…and succeeding
- One quarter of all people who friend me on Facebook don’t respond to personal messages
- Social media “gurus” and bloggers are egotistical jerks
