My interviews with Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS

on May 25, 2011

It’s not often as a tech journalist I get to interview a rock star, let alone two, but I did last week when I attended and reported on the event “KISS Live and Global” where Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley attempted (and did) break the Guinness World Record for the most global online chat using Ortsbo, a real-time translation tool (DISCLOSURE: Ortsbo is a client of Spark Media Solutions). They officially had 92 different countries participating. Watch the video of that record breaking moment.

Afterwards, I got to interview Simmons and Stanley about the event, and like good spokesmen they spoke very highly of Ortsbo. But that’s not all we talked about. I got two funny “lost in translation” moments from both guys and after an interview on CNBC where Gene talked about many things including criticism of Obama’s new policy in Israel he echoed in my interview with him that we should just kill all pedophiles. I don’t know what that has to do with Ortsbo, but Gene has an opinion on EVERYTHING.

And here’s my one-on-one interview with Paul Stanley.
