Sony’s sad profits. More whores on MySpace and Facebook. And who cares about Oracle OpenWorld?

by David Spark on October 27, 2006

While Radio Shack has figured out a way to survive after you return its sub-par electronics, Sony hasn’t. Their battery recall fiasco has put a whopping 94% dent into their profits. I’m sure the delay of the Playstation 3 was party to the profit decline.

Could MySpace and Facebook be imploding from their own success? In an effort to win the “I have the most friends” game, many users have unwittingly approved invitations from spammers, marketers, and online whores. Membership last month in MySpace and Facebook dropped 4% and 12% respectively.

And finally, a pat on the back for me. I went the entire week completely ignoring Oracle OpenWorld. And no, I’m not even giving them a link. They won’t link me.
