On Thursday last week, I moderated a panel at the Building Blocks conference in San Jose about how to effectively use social media for advertising, content, and commerce. As we all know, we’re at a very nascent stage with social media across all three. But the panelists, who came from all three backgrounds (advertising, content, and commerce) offered some “do” and “don’t” advice.
The “don’t” advice was experiential. I wanted to know what mistakes they had made that they advise us in the audience, not to repeat. It’s the first question, and then I ask them to offer us some “do” advice along with a reason why everyone should rush the stage and talk to them afterwards. Enjoy.
