A tour inside of Interop’s 2011 Network Operations Center

on June 14, 2011

Every year I go to Interop, I make sure that I get a tour of the Interop Net or Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC is the world’s largest temporary network, providing all the connectivity for exhibitors and attendees at the show. About six months before the show, a team of engineers design and build it miles away in San Diego. After it’s tested, volunteers break it down, throw it into a truck, and put it back together in Las Vegas.

If your company has a new product, the NOC is a great way to show it off to the network engineering public. Every year it’s a showcase of the best equipment available.

Watch my full tour of the NOC with Mark Sullivan of Ascent Technical. Compare this tour with the tours we did back in 2009 and 2008.
